01 Jul All About the Balayage
If you follow the latest hair trends you know that balayage is IN right now. Meaning ‘to sweep’ or ‘to paint’ in French, this is a newer trend that’s similar to highlighting. But instead of using foils, hair is hand-painted for a controlled, natural, and one-of-a-kind look. Regrowth lines are softer or even unnoticeable using this technique.
Though all our stylists are well-versed in coloring with foils or by hand, we wanted to further hone our balayage techniques. So we brought in an expert: Wella Educator Eric Lindsey. During the in-depth and hands-on class, Eric taught new techniques for sectioning, mixing color, painting the hair, and so much more. Then our stylists demonstrated their techniques on models for some truly beautiful results.
