23 Jul Massage Benefits + Safety
As we ease into this new normal, we’ve supplemented our existing safety + sanitation guidelines with new measures so that clients can enjoy a relaxing massage. And we’re sure there are many people who could use one especially now — we’ll let Chrissy explain below:
Massage has always had multiple benefits. But now that we are reemerging from quarantine, massage can help with that kink in your neck because your remote desk isn’t as ergonomic as your work desk, or the ache in your back because you finally had the time to tackle that home improvement project, or an escape from the kids because even though you love them dearly, homeschooling was hard.
We are doing our best to maintain the safety of our clients and our staff, while still providing quality massage services.

Our massage therapists have developed a fabric face cradle so that a mask can be taken off while the client is face down on the massage table. In any other position, clients must fully keep their mask on.
Once clients are positioned face down in the face cradle, they can slide their masks off or pull it under the chin. The massage ends with the client face down, the therapist leaves the room, and the client may take their time getting up, dressed, and exiting with a mask on.
Massage Therapists wear masks and other protective equipment for the entirety of the service.
Safety Measure for Massage Services
While we have always had strict safety and sanitation measures, we have invested in additional technologies and products so that our clients and team are as protected as possible, including:
- A state-of-the-art HVAC system. Air is brought in from the outdoors and filtered, used, then pumped directly out of the building — not recirculated.
- Air purifiers. Every treatment room has an air purifier that is constantly cleaning the air.
- A supplemental hospital-grade disinfectact cleaner. Rejuvenate™ disinfectants deliver hospital-grade strength that is powerful yet non-toxic and non-irritating, EPA and FDA registered, and eco-friendly.
As always, after each service all linens are removed to be professionally sanitized by Whekelbra Cleaners and all non-porous surfaces are disinfected, then the room is reset with fresh linens.
