24 Jul Spa + MedSpa Reopening Guidelines (Updated)
More exciting spa news:
That means: ALL spa and medspa services are now available to book! 🎉
Client and staff health and safety remains our highest priority, and is the basis for all of these guidelines. We will be following all of the safety and sanitation guidelines for close contact personal services provided by the state of Massachusetts, our previously issued guidelines, as well as the specific spa + medspa guidelines outlined below.
Please stay tuned as guidelines may change with new information, updates from the state government, and a progression through our phased approach. We will continue to issue updates by email, our website, and social media.
Limited Service Availability
For the time being, we are reserving time for skincare services (facials and treatments), and thus will have limited availability for shorter length appointments (e.g. brow waxes, tinting, etc). This is a temporary measure to limit the volume of clients seen daily, to support the health and safety of our clients and team.
Clients may book other services in times set aside for facials and treatments if the services combined are at least 45 minutes.
Some of our favorite combinations:
|brow wax||brow tinting or another wax|
|brow tinting||lash tinting|
|face-only microderabrasion or dermaplaning||including the neck and/or décolleté in the service|
|lash + brow tinting||lash extensions|
|a short waxing service||one of our relaxing facials|
Mask-On and Mask-Off Spa Services
With the reopening of facials, treatments, and facial waxing, certain services are now considered “mask-off.” Clients will remove their masks in the treatment room for the service, but must wear a mask when exiting the room and checking out.
If a client is receiving both mask-on and mask-off services, the client’s mask may only be removed during the mask-off portion.
Service providers will not take their masks off, and will have additional PPE such as face shields and/or barriers for services in which the client removes their mask.

*For those that prefer keeping a mask on, we have added separate neck + décolleté versions of HydraFacial®, Environ Peel, and Microdermabrasion, as well as the new services listed above.
**Our massage therapists have developed a fabric face cradle so that a mask can be taken off while the client is face down on the massage table. Learn more on our blog here.
Reduced Staff + Schedule
In keeping with our high safety standards and to enable proper social distancing, we’re continuing with a reduced spa and medspa schedule. Our spa is currently operating Tuesday through Friday.
All of our service providers are excited to get back to helping their clients look and feel amazing. We’ll keep you up to date as more service providers return.
All medspa services — Botox + fillers, laser skin therapy, laser hair removal, and electrology — are available to book. Additional PPE will be worn by team members for services that require the client’s mask to be removed.
INTERLOCKS Medical Director Dr. Raffi Der Sarkissian, MD, FACS, has also resumed his visits. A Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, he offers not only facial plastic surgery consultations but also highly sought-after Botox® and filler injections. See his impressive bio and his upcoming visits here.
Phone Booking Only
To ensure that each service provider has adequate time for sanitation and disinfection between clients, our Service Concierge team will be manually booking appointments by phone only. We will gradually enable more services to be booked online by clients.
